This piece of dia de los muertos series, Bouquet of Marigolds or Ramo de cempasúchil is a black clay vase decorated with bas relief floral patterns. These patterns are some of my favorites and I enjoy recreating them. The vase holds a bouquet of marigolds or cempasúchil. The legend of the flower goes back centuries and endures as a colorful reminder that some beliefs, such as an everlasting love, cannot be vanquished.
