California Dogface, Zerene eurydice — an original color pencil drawing reproduced as a giclée print.
The California Dogface is the California state insect and is endemic to California — found nowhere else in the world. Only the males display the distinct dog-in-profile markings on the forewings; females are a uniform yellow. Larvae feed exclusively on California false indigo (Amorpha californica) and desert false indigo (Amorpha fruiticosa), plants found in riparian areas within oak and coniferous woodlands.
